MELOS started the same way a lot of good things do... out of necessity. When I was pregnant with my identical twin boys, I tried just about every body butter and “clean” moisturizer I could find, but nothing felt truly nourishing or comfortable on my skin. So I went back to something already in my kitchen: tallow from our own Japanese Black Wagyu cattle raised on our family ranch in Texas. What began as a simple balm made in my kitchen quickly became the product I reached for every single day - not just for my growing belly, but for my face, hands, lips, and everything in between.

We've always believed in honoring the whole animal and creating with intention, not waste. MELOS became a natural extension of that philosophy: a deeply moisturizing, small-batch skincare line made from traceable Wagyu tallow sourced exclusively from our single family ranch. Every jar is thoughtfully crafted with minimal, non-toxic ingredients and refined to feel smooth, luxurious, and genuinely effective.
