Tallow is rendered animal fat that has been used on skin for thousands of years across many cultures. Its fatty acid profile closely mirrors the lipids in human skin, absorbing naturally and nourishing deeply. MELOS uses exclusively Fullblood Wagyu tallow sourced from a single ranch.

Not greasy, but it's different from regular lotion. Wagyu tallow has a lower melting point than generic tallow, so it absorbs quickly and feels silky smooth. The arrowroot powder further reduces any greasy feel. Most people describe the texture as silky and rich.

Not at all. Our tallow is triple rendered at low temperatures and carefully filtered to remove any scent. The finished product has a subtle, clean fragrance from the lavender and cedarwood essential oil. Warm, earthy, and calming.
